Croome Court, Worcestershire, is a Grade I neo-Palladian mansion set within a ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped park, built for George William, 6th Earl of Coventry in 1751 by Brown. We will re-instate Croome’s wonderful interiors, as well as present and interpret these interiors for our visitors.

    Situation

We need to waterproof the roof and secure the floors immediately, perform essential electrical work including fire and security alarms, remove asbestos throughout the building, repair the magnificent stone balustrades and make public access safe and secure.

    Solution

We will carry out the restoration of Croome in front of our visitors. Perhaps more importantly thoug, wWe will challenge preconceived ideas of the role and presentation of the country house by exploring Croome’s changing historic role as a home to many different people and ideas over the centuries.
