Bendrigg Lodge is a residential activity centre for disabled & disadvantaged people. We need to give wheelchair users greater independence. The kitchen is also too small to cater for 60 guests. We need a servery which is wheelchair accessible and create a corridor link to the dining room.

Situation
The existing kitchen is too small with out-of-date equipment. The existing servery is too small and does not cater for the needs of wheelchair users. The lounge is too small and used as a corridor therefore a seperate corridor is required.
Solution
We plan to build a new kitchen with up-to-date cooking equipment This will enable the existing kitchen area to be converted to create new food storage area and a corridor to bypass the lounge and create safe wheelchair access to the dining area.
