Join CoolTan Arts on a guided walk from Maudsley Hospital to Dickens Square,SE1, where we aim to uncover some of the lesser-known facts about Britain’s most celebrated novelist in this important year of his bicentenary!

Along the 3 mile route our friendly guides lead you on a journey exploring the local history and landmarks of Southwark and their connection to Dickens life and novels. Learn more about Dickens early years in Lant Street, his fathers imprisonment in the local Marshalsea Prison, Little Dorrit, Dickens female characters, and mental health in the 19th century.
