UJIA (United Jewish Israel Appeal)

School Initiatives in the Galil, northern Israel

The Israeli education system is in crisis. We are working to improve the quality of education in our partnership region on Israel's northern border. We are investing in infrastructure, training personnel and providing extra-curricula support for disadvantaged youth. We are partnering the Ministry of Education, local authorities, the Jewish Agency and other charitable foundations in this work.

The UJIA's new strategy is designed to help guarantee a sustainable and postive future for the people of the Galil and the Jewish community of the UK. Our programme is built around young people and education, which we see as the key to securing our future. We believe that the future of Israel and the Jewish Diaspora are dependent upon each other and that the UJIA creates the living bridge between our communities.
