The growth in Jewish day schools has been phenomenal. The UJIA has developed three community wide strategies to support the schools across the community. Firstly, we have trained new teachers for the schools in both general and Jewish studies. Secondly, we provide outstanding in-service training for senior professionals in the schools. Thirdly, we are developing a new curriculum in Jewish, Hebrew and Israel Studies for all the schools in the Orthodox sector.

    Situation

The UJIA's strategy is designed to help guarantee a sustainable and postive future for the people of the Galil and the Jewish community of the UK. Our programme is built around young people and education, which we see as the key to securing our future. We believe that the future of Israel and the Jewish Diaspora are dependent upon each other and that the UJIA creates the living bridge between our communities.
