Situation
To provide services relevant to older people from different faith groups, including bespoke catering facilities to meet Kosher and Halal requirements and a communal worship space. The services are being developed in consultation with local older people and multi-faith groups to ensure that the development contributes to both the physical and spiritual well-being of prospective service users.
Solution
It offers a facilities so far not made available to older people from different faith groups living in the area.This project is in response to Leeds City council's older persons strategy, which identified a significant shortfall in specialist care provision for older people in this area of Leeds. It will support older people to remain as independent as possible whilst offering a full range of support and care facilities to ensure each individual maintains a good quality of life.
