Wales Air Ambulance’s third helicopter, based in Welshpool, is due to be decommissioned by the Civil Aviation Authority. We need to raise an extra £600,000 each year in order to upgrade and maintain the lease of a ‘new generation aircraft’: an advanced air ambulance with the latest medical facilities and aviation technology.

Maintaining the upgrade will create an annual fundraising target of £6 million for the charity, which will keep all three helicopters flying over Wales. By raising an additional £600,000 this leap year, Wales Air Ambulance can take that first step in continuing to save lives for the people of Wales.
