Christmas and New Year can be one the toughest times for families, patients and carers who have been hit by the devastation of a brain tumour. Help us provide vital emotional support so they don’t need to face this time alone. Our support doesn’t cost a penny and is open to anyone who needs it.

Situation

Over 80% of carers feel that their emotional well-being has been damaged and over a third of patients report they feel ‘severely isolated’. Christmas and the New Year can be a particularly difficult time. Over the same period last year we were contacted almost 200 additional times, a 33% increase. Many people with a brain tumour may encounter a loss of identity, cognitive impairment, and being forced to abandon or change career. We need to be there in every way we can.

Solution

Your brain is the most amazing part of your body and the impact of a brain tumour mandates tailored support. We will be delivering vital support to anyone who needs through integrated services that are personal to each stage of their journey, from diagnosis to end-of-life. Our services could help improve the mental health and wellbeing. “I'll never forget how lost I felt after being diagnosed and the support I received from The Brain Tumour Charity.”
