Helping Akany Avoko Children's home in memory of Clemmie Nicholson On the morning of the 7th of May 2009, Clemmie Nicholson succumbed to acute Meningitis and died aged seventeen. In the last year of her short but vibrant life Clemmie had chosen to lead her fellow pupils in Stanley House Rugby in fundraising for Akany Avoko Children's Home in Madagascar. In December 2008 Clemmie visited Akany Avoko to meet the children and to further understand their needs. Her visit, her enthusiasm and warmth made a lasting impression on all of us. Akany Avoko provides food, shelter, medical care, education and love to over 120 abandoned, orphaned and impoverished children in Madagascar, one of the world's poorest countries. If you would like to make a donation to help continue the fundraising work that Clemmie began then please donate through this website.
