    Situation

The group has recently celebrated its 90th Anniversary. The Headquarters we use are now over 40 years old and in need of repair and modernisation. We have made a start by replacing and renewing the toilet facilities, and repairing the badly damaged roof this has taken us three years to complete. The roof should now last about another five years before needing to be completely replaced. As we rely solely on volunteers, and donations it is hard to raise enough money to complete all work that is needed and we estimate it will take a few more years to raise enough money to complete everything that is needed to be done. It is hoped to bring the Headquarters standards to a state that will help us to hire out for parties, functions etc thus generating funds for the upkeep of the building, and becoming more self sufficient. We also have to be conscious when raising money that at present around £2000.00 is needed each year just to cover the running costs and insurance’s. A rough estimate of funds needed to complete all work is as follows; Main Hall £1500 Fencing £1500 Kitchen £1000 Side rooms £600 Hallway £300 Stores £300
