    Situation

Since the Orpheus Centre opened its doors 9 years ago, it has helped many young disabled adults on their way to independent living and more fulfilled lives, thanks to its unique philosophy of teaching life skills through performing arts. It costs £20,000 to fund each student's learning programme. We believe passionately in what the Orpheus Centre stands for and seeing our students go on to live their lives in a way that would previously be seen as unachievable before their time at Orpheus is the greatest reward of all. Ex-student Chloe Smith says: "Since I've been at The Orpheus Centre my independance has grown and I feel I'm a completely different person. It has given me a new perspective and has given me the insight I need to see where I'm going in life - I now have a clear goal!" Please look at our website – www.orpheus.org.uk – to see in more detail how the Orpheus Centre uses music, drama and dance to change the lives of so many people.
