Bible Explorer is a fun, interactive, educational programme taught only in primary schools to pupils 9 - 11 years old. Our team of trained volunteers go into their local schools and teach the 'Big Picture' of the Bible to fit with each locally agreed RE syllabus. Training more volunteers is vital.

Situation

There is a lack of Biblical understanding and knowledge among children. The great majority don't attend a Sunday school, so the best time to teach them the Bible Explorer programme is during their last two years in primary schools (Years 5 and 6). It's then that they are most receptive to learning about the Bible just before they make the transition into secondary school education.

Solution

By training more volunteers there is the potential for more children in primary schools to experience the Bible Explorer programme. Already we have reached a milestone of teaching half a million children in primary schools. We are always looking to train more people, to become volunteer Bible Explorer Presenters, who have a proven record of excellent presentation and communications skills and who work well with children.
