    Situation

When Richard Dimbleby was diagnosed with cancer he was asked what was his one wish for cancer patients in hospital, to which he replied "a comfortable pillow". A couple of years ago the Dimbleby family made a grant available to its centres at Guys & St Thomas's hospitals to supply a pillow and the demand has been astonishing. The Dimbleby Box aims to build on this by creating a set of items of practical use which would be available through key partners to those diagnosed with cancer. The Dimbleby Box is currently being developed however it would be likely to include; a) a comfortable pillow to aid rest and recovery b) aromatherapy oils and details on how to use them c) advice on diet and nutrition d) a simple, easy to use, aid to breathing (currently being researched by Kings) e) talking books The Box will be developed with at least one key distribution partner and will fully involve users in its development. The aim is through practical and useful items, to add value to patients quality of life.
