Bach's music touches everyone's lives whether they know he wrote the music or not. His music continues to enrich lives and influence musicians today. With cutbacks in music education at all levels nationwide, London Bach Society is developing its activities to create a centre for Bach study and performance, to enhance the learning and musical experience for all ages. The Bach Singers competition is where performing experience and educational opportunity come together for aspiring professionals.

Bach's vocal works are core repertoire for professional singers, who will all perform the composer's music during their careers. The competition creates opportunity to hone performing and creative skills to the highest professional standards away from places of study. The Finalists will each perform their programmes at St. John's Smith Square with a professional orchestra and given before a public audience.
