In August 2015 the Cerebral Palsy International Sport & Recreation Association World Games will take place in Nottingham. Friends of Team CP England is a bursary fund to support Team England’s participation at the Games, especially talented young disabled athletes who are financially disadvantaged.

Situation
Young disabled athletes hoping to represent Team CP England at the 2015 CPISRA World Games will be asked to raise their own funds to participate in the Games. As people with disabilities can find themselves socially excluded and economically disadvantaged, this project will help to remove financial barriers so young people can focus on representing their country and perform to the best of their ability.
Solution
Sport brings people together on an equal basis to enjoy the health and wellbeing benefits of participating in sport. Through establishing a support fund, Friends of Team CP England will help young athletes and their families to overcome any financial hardship they may have with regard to training, travel, accommodation and subsistence in the build-up and during the CPISRA 2015 World Games.
