Via these DVD's, we want to bring alive some of the information and advice we give in training through the use of visual aids and footage that focuses on all the fundamental aspects of good dementia care. We want to enhance learning by giving accessible, inspirational images and ideas. Our dementia conferences are often powerful experiences for delegates and we want the staff we train to also experience this by ‘bringing the speakers with us’ through the use of film. We want them to hear about gold standard care, appreciate the experiences of family carers and see how their services can adapt their environments to make them dementia friendly. We feel that by providing a training session that uses a variety of methods and media we can respond to all learning styles and equip more front line staff with the skills to provide effective, responsive care. The 5 DVD's will be titled as follows: * ‘A Carers’ Story’ * ‘Eating Well’ * The Environment and its Impact on people with Dementia’ * ‘Life story/Working with Peers’ * ‘Philosophy Of Care’
