We want to complete and equip a vocational training centre for disadvantaged teenagers, adjacent to the primary school in a village near the Bay of Bengal.

Situation
Mr. Alindra Naskar worked for many years as a maker of prosthetics at the Leprosy Mission hospital in Purulia nearby. On retirement he put his pension into building a small school in his home village, and is desperate to provide vocational training - initially sewing and embroidery for girls, later also carpentry, mechanics and other skills. He would also like to start physiotherapy training. Mr. Naskar is a very inspirational figure and we are very keen to help him, also providing a market in the UK for some of the embroidery work (using fairtrade principles) to help the project achieve sustainability.
