The victims, families and friends affected by the 80-85 road deaths across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire are not necessarily entitled to any support provision whatsoever. The project seeks to fill this gap and ensure that the Trust can provide the best possible levels of victim care to those who need it.

Working with the Police Forces across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire , the Trust will receive details of all fatal collisions that occur on the road. From these referrals the Trust will make contact with any people who have been detrimentally affected by the death. A unique and bespoke counselling service will be offered to these people. Those taking up the service will receive a weekly face to face counselling session for as long as is needed.
