Children and Young Persons will be given support, mentoring and counselling according to their needs. Children and Young Persons aged 11+ to include travellers and diversity groups and children with a low level of disability. These children will be excluded and/or at risk of disaffection and unable to access other services.

    Situation

    Children and Young Persons will gain: ● Emotional Wellbeing ● Better mental health ● Increased self confidence / self esteem ● A Voice to be heard / empowerment ● Better opportunities and further choices in life ● Less risk of self harm / suicide or other problems We would work in partnership with our Young Persons Advocacy Service, Children’s Legal Centre and other agencies. The demand for this service is huge and we currently have a great many enquiries which we have to turn away. GP referrals will also be a big source of referrals We feel strongly that the children and young people should be given a voice to have some say in a service that will directly affect and benefit them. This will also further empower them. Costs pa = £15019 being £1664 premises, £810 running costs, £12545 staff and related costs. This will help at least 60 children and Young Persons per year.
