This project will work with families of children reintegrated from life on the streets, through addressing both economic and emotional barriers to in the family. The result will be a sustainable family unit with children enabled to engage in education and prevent children from taking to street life.

Situation
Children come to the streets for many reasons, but primarily through poverty and violence in the home. Returning children to a home where the causal factors have not been addressed means that the child or their siblings are likely to return to the streets and remain detached from education.
Solution
The project aims to work with 12 families a year in an intensive way, to build family relationships and address poverty through training in setting up income generating activities. In addition, the children will be supported to return to education through provision of school fees, uniform and educational supplies.
