There are 2 types of assemblies: 1 - School requested one-off assemblies e.g for easter or christmas. 2 - Launch assemblies at start of their work in the schools, to let the pupils know whats happening. The lunch time clubs are half an hour sessions doing lots of different, fun activities. The workshops are 'Godly Play' workshops where the leader tells the children a story from the bible using different intereesting objects to keep the childrens attention. After the story, the children use arts and crafts and different activities to express their feeling about the story. We need a large financial input in order to expand this work. We are getting more and more requests from other boroughs in the county for this project. In order to meet these requests, we need money for resources and training for the volunteers, but mainly for our staff to go full time, as they currently do all this work part-time, and are rushed off their feet.
