RoadPeace is the national charity for road crash victims in the UK. We provide information and support services to people bereaved or seriously injured in road crashes and engage in evidence-based campaigning for improvements to the justice system for victims and for safer streets.

Situation
RoadPeace makes a tangible different to road crash victims – providing vital support at a time of crisis – through our support services and advocacy work, and campaigning work. Road crash victims are the forgotten victims (they don’t get the access to the same support or information as other victims of crime).
Solution
We provide support to thousands of road crash victims every year, through our network of local support groups, helpline, trauma support programmes, casework and advocacy service and Legal Panel. Our support group meetings provide face to face support for bereaved victims to share experiences, offer peer support to each other and build lasting relationships. Independent evaluation of our work has shown that peer support from other victims is ‘incredibly helpful’ in recovery from the trauma
