Fibrosis (scarring) is central to a raneg of major diseases. Scarring causes immense physical damage, psychological effects and financial cost to millions of people.
Solution
The Project’s objectives include: = Developing a powerful and unique system for measuring the effectiveness of scarring treatments - Establishing a multi-centre testing facility for analysis of scar treatments - Running blinded, randomised and controlled clinical trials on current and new scarring treatments - Establish which treatments work with the potential to save the NHS millions of pounds on ineffective treatments.
