The UN Millennium Development Goal 2 states that by 2015 every child will be able to access primary education. We are helping to make this goal a reality in Sierra Leone. Providing schools, teachers and materials in the remotest parts of the country, we are giving children access to education.
It ran from 12:00 AM, 1 September 2010 to 12:00 AM, 1 September 2015

Impoverished and remote areas in Sierra Leone do not have the resources to provide education for their children. In the best cases villages have make-shift shelters which are used as schools and un-educated 'teachers' attempt to teach a class of 150 with no materials. In the worst cases there are no schools, certainly no books and no 'teachers' available. Children here have no hope of a future.
By providing the materials to build solid school structures that will withstand the rains, giving teaching resources to help the children learn, enrolling teachers on recognised teacher training schemes and educating local communities on the importance of education for their children, we are giving hundreds of children a hopeful future.
