Due to the constant demand on educational places for the children we support, children often have to wait years before KISS can support their higher educational and vocational course needs. KISS wants to clear this backlog so young people do not have to wait!

Situation
KISS supports vulnerable children in Uganda to access and remain in education so they are equipped with the skills necessary for them to be able to support themselves. Previously to the strain on KISS resources it became the standard that children had to wait 1 - 3 years before KISS could commit to support them through higher education or vocational courses. KISS now strives to avoid this practice but there is a backlog of 5 children that KISS would like to clear
Solution
Currently KISS resources are dedicated to children in education or on vocational courses. Completion of this project will clear the back-log of 5 young people that are currently waiting for higher education or vocational courses which will enable them to become independent and support themselves. Clearing this back-log will also mean that other young people do not have to wait for their next step in education.
