A Compassionate Care Break is for families with children affected by cancer and their families who need to spend quality time together in a stress free relaxing environment. We help these families by arranging a break for them, free of charge, at one of our mobile homes in Wales.

Situation
Each family who stay at our mobile homes is recommended to us by Social Workers or Health Professionals of being in need of a crisis break. Such need may arise when a child is first diagnosed as having cancer, just before or just after a course of aggressive treatment or when a child is terminally ill. We also carry on caring for bereaved families.
Solution
When a family has to deal with the traumatic experience of a child suffering from cancer. A break offering a completely stress free environment and allowing them precious time together can be vital element in helping the family to cope with their circumstances. It allows families time to rebuild the intimacy of the family unit. We send families away every year from March through to November. These breaks are absolutely free to the families.
