The project is less of a problem and more of a strategic fundraising campaign intended to celebrate 30 years of the Orchestra’s Education & Community Programme whilst building financial support for the years to come. Funds raised via the Big Give will support core funding; alongside this we will run a separate appeal to major donors, aimed at soliciting multi-year gifts to help seed fund new education projects.
We will continue to deliver projects addressing the wide range of issues in the music education landscape. These break down into four key areas: Musical Intros: first musical access for young people and adults; Schools and Training: projects to support curricular learning and professional development; Young Creatives: helping talented teenagers sustain and develop musical and creative skills; and New Talent: nurturing the next generation of professional musicians and composers.
