Drought and confict have displaced many Somalis into refugee camps. By providing training opportunities to Somali refugees in Kenya and Ethiopia we plan to raise the capacity of the Somali community to build a peaceful future and overcome the legacy of drought.

Situation
Education in Somalia has been severely disrupted by conflict and drought. Many Somalis lack the basic skills to support themselves and assist their communities. This project will give them these skills especially for teachers
Solution
We are already working in Dadaab and other refugee camps. We will expand our work to provide vocational and training opportunities to Somalis, especially to girls, to equip them to play a constructive role and to reduce the risk of their recruitment into militias.
