    Situation

Sport is taking centre stage & most importantly being viewed as a catalyst for social & economic change. The Sports Lab exhibition will question how human enhancement technologies can challenge perceptions of disability & how it represents a highly innovative partnership between the arts, sport & science. It will debate many of the complex societal issues that arise from the work of sports scientists & engineers by exploring the latest research into human enhancement technologies.

    Solution

The exhibition will achieve this through the development and staging of a major interactive exhibition that will be hosted at the award winning Weston Park Museum in Sheffield for a nine month period in 2011. Public engagement is central to this project, and the various artistic interventions that will be delivered are primarily concerned with encouraging people think about the role of technology in society, and more specifically, about what it means to be human in the age of enhancement.
