Situation
The project is about raising the self esteem and confidence of children and young people living with the chronic blood disorder - Sickle cell Anaemia. It is a condition that causes pain, organ damage such as stroke and for some early death.
Solution
There is a lot of low self esteem that children and young people face in their everyday life. The mostly feel they are a burden to their families because of neumerous hospital admissions or disruptions to family life. We we work with them and we know they get depressed and many a time want to shut the door on the world. . This award ceremony is about showing them we care and positively making them the center of attention
