Women on Top Theatre have been at it again! This time, we've been celebrating women's voices through the visual arts and performing arts and a 4 month project exploring identity and womanhood culminates in an exciting Showcase Event.

Situation
Women on Top Theatre is a partnership between Kairos WWT and Caste Away Arts, two Coventry charities that work with marginalised women. The WOT Monologues gives women the space and tools to express themselves and have their voices heard. All too often the voices of marginalised women are ignored or disregarded.
Solution
The WOT Monologues ran over two phases. The first phase invited Kairos Service-users to create large scale self-portraits and participants were encouraged to identify within themselves strengths, gifts and hopes. Faced with many complex barriers in their day to day lives, the project aimed at raising self-esteem and celebrating the unique qualities and strengths of our service-users.The second phase invited women to write and perform their own monologues - providing a platform to have a voice
