Situation
family breakdowns and increase pressures on parents can mean young people often find themselves with no real role models. Add in a drop-out of education or social vulnerabilities and the young person could be struggling to know how to live life well, or how to change learned behaviour patterns. Through COACH we aim to resolve this by providing long-term, consistent mentors to help coach a young person through these transition times
Solution
One-on-one mentoring aims to solve this problem. We train volunteers who commit to providing regular time slots, so the young person has a consistency to the mentoring, as well as a quality support and coaching.
