iDE has worked with Nepali farmers in rural communities for 23 years. We are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by this weekend's earthquake. All 86 iDE staff in Nepal are safe; some have lost family members and homes. Our Kathmandu office sustained minor damage. Please understand the scale of the damage is immense. For the most vulnerable people living in remote rural areas securing better and safe livelihoods will be even harder to achieve now.

iDE are assessing the situation as it develops and taking action where we can. Field staff and engineers are helping the relief efforts. Both in the immediate and long term we are well placed to provide a meaningful response through our network of offices outside of Kathmandu.
