Wales’ classical chamber music traditions & contemporary culture face an uncertain future. Chamber music in Wales has a passionate & loyal following. But numbers of audiences & supporters are few; professional opportunities for performers & composers in Wales are scarce; less 7% children go to classical concerts. We need more audiences & supporters for this art form,and opportunities for musicians & performers now so Wales can continue to be a flourishing musical nation for future generations.

We’ll reach new audiences by promoting Pay-What-You-Can events and a special day for chamber music. These will offer a great (re)introduction to music loved by audiences across the world. We’ll reach new supporters from within the communities we serve by showcasing our performances for people in hospitals and residential homes and our work to enrich children’s musical education. The opportunities for composers & performers in this project will help secure a bright future for music in Wales.
