Dancers require access to specialist multi-disciplinary healthcare, including physiotherapy, physiological, psychological, nutritional elements that will help them return to full health for dance training or performance. Currently there are three NHS dance injury clinics in London, Birmingham and Bath. However, with large numbers of dancers requiring treatment these are working at capacity. Currently there is no provision in Scotland, Wales or the North of England.

We aim to expand the interdisciplinary team in the London clinic, enabling them to see dancers more quickly and also offer additional services such as psychological support. We aim to open new NHS dance injury clinics within existing Sports and Exercise Medicine services across the country including Wales, Leeds and Scotland. This will enable dancers in these areas to easily access free, specialist treatment without the need for additional travel.
