Situation
1 in 5 children in the UK will experience domestic violence, and they are more likely to experience behavioural and emotional problems (NSPCC). Children are forced out of their homes unexpectedly due to domestic violence and there are few support systems in place to ensure they can move on and reclaim their childhood.
Solution
Our Every Child Matters project will ensure that the children across London experiencing domestic abuse will feel they matter, not victimised, and supported to become a survivor. Children affected by domestic violence need practical and emotional support to help overcome the harmful impacts of abuse. Our specialist support will enable the most marginalised of children to look to the future with renewed confidence.
