    Situation

Family life changes forever when a child is diagnosed with a life-limiting or life-threatening illness. Parents, who often give up work to care for their sick child, face challenges that can put immense strain on their relationship, whilst brothers and sisters can feel confused and isolated. In short, caring for a life-limited child can be an exhausting and lonely experience for families who face the most unimaginable challenges every day.

    Solution

Little Harbour provides high quality specialist respite for children and their families in a home-from-home environment; friendship and emotional support to all members of the family at the hospice, at home, and at any hour of the day on the telephone, and dedicated sibling support to meet the needs of well brothers and sisters. We pride ourselves on being able to respond to unplanned emergency care requests and provide expert palliative and end of life care.
