With the incidence of cancer increasing there is a fundamental need to continue to invest in pioneering research. Ground-breaking research needs to be continually progressed in order for new therapies to be developed, so that we are able to further understand cancer, leading to innovative treatments. Cancer patients deserve to be treated with the most leading-edge equipment available, which is comfortable and offers precise patient positioning, especially when undergoing lengthy treatment.
Early phase, first in human clinical trials will be delivered from the chairs, meaning that our patients will benefit from the most advanced forms of cancer treatment available, maximising their choice of options. The chairs will support our complex chemotherapy treatment of almost 56,000 deliveries by 2018 and 66,000 by 2022. It is imperative that all of these are delivered to patients using revolutionary equipment that optimises mobility and provide outstanding comfort and safety.
