Most mothers arrive at Sreepur under nourished, this year’s campaign is focusing on the nutrition of our beneficiaries by training mothers on choosing and preparing nutritious meals, and growing a variety of seasonal crops. Mothers will leave as advocates for healthy eating.

Situation
The mothers and children who come to us are the most vulnerable in a very poor country. They are often from rural areas with an unstable geography (floods etc.). Female led households amongst the poorer communities are the ones who suffer most from lack of food and often have poor living conditions and limited access to education.
Solution
Motivation of mothers, children and staff to improve the nutritional health of their own and other children. Mothers becoming ‘Change Agents”. Mothers and staff working together smoothly and with the same goals. There will be a Support Team when mothers return to their communities. Understanding of nutritious foods and diet, and how these impact on health and wellbeing
