Children in Africa are the innocent victims of war, famine, poverty and disease. 40 Million are orphans and many have no one to care for them. For those living in the slums, there is no money for food and rarely a hospital nearby. Poor diets, weakened immune systems and unclean living conditions often lead to unnecessary death. Due to lack of money or transport school enrolment rates are very low, which contributes to a lack of employment opportunities and street begging.

Beautiful Gate supports vulnerable children and families in Africa by setting up community based day centres, pre-schools, crisis care for AIDS orphans and foster care programmes. We currently operate in three countries – South Africa, Lesotho and Zambia
