The healthcare infrastructure in the Palestinian territories lacks resources and access to new technologies and expertise. There are treatments and techniques that are unavailable but are common at Hadassah hospital. Similarly, Palestinian medical professionals do not have access to the high level of medical training/ knowledge as their Israeli counterparts. This has a detrimental effect on the ability to provide first class medical care for those in need.
We will provide fund the treatment of these patients who are uninsured through the Israeli health insurance system. This also includes ensuring the safe transport of the patient and their family and providing the same level of medical care as is available to Israeli patients. Palestinian medical professionals will receive 2-years training at Hadassah hospital, whilst working in the hospital. With this expertise they will be able to build the capacity of healthcare system in Palestine.
