Chai offers counselling to cancer patients and their families; individuals, couples, groups and children. Our counsellors are highly qualified to deal with cancer related issues. They help clients to live and cope with the complex and varied impacts of cancer, in a confidential and neutral setting.

    Situation

    With a combination of earlier diagnoses and better treatment, people are living longer and surviving cancer. However, a cancer diagnosis can be the most traumatic time in a person's life. Both the patient and family can be overwhelmed by anxieties about the illness, the future and their loved ones. Often those affected by cancer are uncomfortable expressing these feelings to their loved ones, but need an outlet where they can discuss their feelings in a safe and confidential environment.

    Solution

    Chai Cancer Care provides free counselling for individuals, couples, groups and children at 8 centres accross the UK or at the clients' own home. All counselling sessions are confidential. They deal with a wide range of issues, from psychosexual to concerns about the future.
