There is a distinct lack of educational opportunities for disabled children on the Thailand-Myanmar border. Children with disabilities are often confined to their home, isolated with little opportunity for social interaction. In the worst cases these children can find themselves abandoned, left to fend for themselves on the streets or packed into overcrowded institutions. The only school for disabled migrant children in Tak Province is in dire need of your support to continue its vital work.

Safe Child Thailand is committed to supporting migrant education on the Thai-Myanmar border and, following the collapse of a funding partner, has become the main supporter of the only border school for disabled migrant children. Our funding will cover running costs including educational supplies, school transport, lunches, teacher training, staff salaries and community outreach work.
