Children and young people from the ethnic minority community we serve are cooped up in the classroom all year with little access to physical activities due to cultural and economic constraints. Many struggle in school and some suffer from low self-esteem, mental health issues, ADHD and ASD. With too much spare time on their hands in the summer holidays these children are at high risk of antisocial behaviour; their parents are desperate for them to be gainfully occupied.
By providing two fun-filled weeks where we will run engaging and thought provoking activities along with enjoyable and relaxing trips that will combine to offer an excellent day camp for children and young people. Children will have the opportunity to release their pent up energy in a safe environment and a productive way. Our fantastic team of youth workers utilise this opportunity to instil the children with confidence and a fresh enthusiasm for their studies upon their return to school.
“Thank you for allowing S to join and assisting with his needs and safely. He had a wonderful time.” “My son probably never had such a good time in his life. He enjoyed every moment!”
“My children were unable to go away for vacation yet felt they had a fun, exciting and refreshing summer.” “The best daycamp in the UK!”
“They take us on these special trips that I have never in my life been to and most of them my parents won't take me to - it's too far/hard for them.”
