Situation

British Red Cross is part of the world’s largest emergency response organisation, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement The Movement responds to international disasters and conflicts every year, as well as emergencies in the UK. In a crisis rapid provision of humanitarian assistance is essential. Blankets, tents, medicines, food, water and sanitation are all needed immediately; not within days but hours of a tragedy happening. Your support can make this difference

Solution

Our disaster preparedness fund will ensure we have instantly accessible funding available to kick-start a crisis response as soon as the disaster happens. We will not have to wait to fundraise for an appeal, we can act without delay and get support to where it is most needed anywhere in the world. We bring rapid relief and hope to those affected, through provision of food, shelter, healthcare, psycho-social and other forms of vital support
