  • ‚ÄúI have worked in Inner London state schools for 12 years and simply could not have survived it without the magic of Mousetrap. It is an extraordinary project and programme you offer‚Ķ the most valuable resource, and I know every child has loved it.‚Äù

    — Teacher, The Bridge Academy, Hackney

  • You have given my boys a love of theatre and they now attend a local drama club which they adore. Both have grown in confidence, pride and self-esteem and have development a love of literature as an extension of this.

    — Parent, member of our family theatregoing scheme

  • We all had such an unforgettable evening. It is something that we would never be able to experience as a family. All of us would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts, all three of my children went to sleep with huge smiles on their faces.

Situation

Many children and young people, never get to have the incredible experience that is live theatre. For many families and youth groups, the cost of a London theatre trip is prohibitive, plus there are deep-seated social/cultural barriers, which make them think theatre is not for 'people like us'. School budget cuts, curriculum pressures and the EBACC's exclusion of arts subjects mean performing arts, enhancement activities and trips during school hours are under threat.

Solution

We provide top quality cultural outings at an affordable price, only £5-10 per ticket, far less than most theatres’ group rates. We offer musicals, classic plays and contemporary drama, giving access to a huge range of theatre across London. We provide supporting resources, talks, education projects and drama workshops, designed to support and extend the classroom learning experience, develop skills, raise aspirations, increase confidence and broaden horizons.
