A programme to build and upgrade classrooms across seven primary schools in rural Kenya and help these schools deliver an education worth having to more than 2,500 disadvantaged children.

Situation
Despite our work over the last 10 years, class numbers remain high and classrooms overcrowded in a small number of our partner schools. Additional classrooms are needed in order to accommodate growing enrolments, whilst upgrades are needed to other classrooms to ensure they offer a safe, bright and spacious learning environment.
Solution
We aim to build or upgrade up to 20 classrooms over the 2 years or so. In doing so, we will help to reduce class numbers to an average of 30 and maximum of 40 pupils per classroom.
