Mozart is arguably the most famous composer of all time, and opera his most important genre. Many of his early operas are rarely performed and little known despite their astonishing beauty and accomplishment. There are few recordings of Mozart’s early operas, and the quality of most that exist is poor, but in the current climate recordings of complete operas require substantial subsidy.
With our outstanding track record as Mozart specialists, we can create recordings of excellent quality and stylistic integrity, bringing this repertoire to a wide international audience. The recordings will incorporate the latest research on Mozart performance practice, and we will also present opportunities to hear the music live. We plan to create videos with each recording, providing further depth and insight, and these will also be made available for online viewing.
