Norfolk has a higher than average number of older people living in the county and in 10 years time this will increase to 45% of the population. Our dedicated advisors provide information and advice on a range of issues. Our Advice Line takes 9,000+ calls each year. Norfolk is a very rural county, our Benefits Advisers visit older people in their own homes and provide a holistic approach encouraging older people to claim all the benefits to which they are entitled.
Our core work in our Head Office is facilitated by the increasing use of the integrated telephone system allowing callers direct access to advisors from key locations throughout the county. A new initiative has established a hub at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital providing an information and advice service for older patients and their carers . We have this year established our first walk-in information and advice centres in our new shops in King's Lynn and Sheringham.
