  • We need to keep banging the drum to say that people with learning disabilities are valued, they have those skills, and they can develop those skills. I think the work that SeeAbility is doing will only make life better and better for those people

Situation

SeeAbility wants to launch the 'Ready, Willing & Able' pilot programme to support people with sight loss, learning disabilities and autism into work. People with disabilities are the furthest from the workforce with most not ever being asked what they might want to do with their life when they leave school. We want to support people to realise their ambitions and contribute to their communities.

Solution

To help people gain employment our Supported Employment Manager will build networks with employers, helping them create more diverse workplaces, where people of all abilities are included and feel valued. We must provide specialist, tailored job coaching that helps people overcome barriers and achieve exciting new skills and experiences every day.
